Flash Drive

It was recently  one of the smallest USB flash drives,Data Traveler Micro, but today we have another USB flash drive coming from Deonet, and according to Deonet, this should be one of the smallest USB sticks on the market. This USB stick measures 19.5 x 14.5 x 2.9 mm and it utilizes Micro UDP chip, and thanks to this chip, the entire stick is almost twice smaller than any other USB sticks. This device is so small so you can just leave it inside of your USB port, and as for the capacity, there will be 4, 8 or 16GB models available.
This might be the smallest USB flash drive in the world, and only problem with it is that you can accidently forget it somewhere.

Pros:
- compact and light
- trackball
- wheel
- many shortcut buttons (multimedia, browser, applications etc)
Cons:
- trackball not even decent and need push "connect" twice if not used for a while; sometimes stops working at all (hours later starts working again)
- too small sized for long texts
Other Thoughts:
The trackball was the main reason I bought it and could be way better.

Windows 8 brings password management and synchronization

We all know that Windows 8 will offer a variety of features, and regarding the upcoming features, we’re pleased to inform you that Windows 8 will have an improved password management system.
You probably use a variety of passwords on your computer, so it’s not uncommon that you lose or forget your password, and the only solution for that problem is to request a new password, but that can be a tedious process sometimes. Luckily for you, Windows 8 will try to eliminate this problem with enhanced password storage and syncing feature. By logging in to Windows 8 with your Live ID, you’ll automatically retrieve passwords that you’ve used on this computer, and all your website passwords will be saved on Internet Explorer 10, so you won’t have to log in again. However, if you need to see those passwords, you can do so easily right from the credential manager.

Password storage and synchronizing feature sounds promising, however it has it flaws, but we can’t wait to see how it works in action.

Board of Awesomeness powered by Kinect will go off road

Unveiled at this year’s CES 2012, the Board of Awesomeness has been brought to our attention by a team from Chaotic Moon. In fact, this may be the team you’d least expect to come up with something like this. The objective of the mobile app-making studio was to take on the “mobile” aspect of its business to the next level.

The electric skateboard is equipped with a Kinect Sensor fixed to the front of a longboard so it faces back at the rider to detect their movements and gestures. These are translated into commands used to control the board’s 800 watt electric motor, which is powered by a 36 volt battery and can carry the rider at speeds of up to 32 mph. The all-terrain tyres means that the board can also head off road!

Windows 8 lets you restore your system easily with reset and refresh features

We already wrote that Windows 8 will use picture passwords, but today we’re going to focus on two features that allow you to fix problems and restore your Windows to earlier state.

According to Desmond Lee, a program manager on Microsoft Fundamentals team, Windows 8 will have two ways that will allow you to restore Windows to an earlier state. The first is the refresh feature that will take you to the Recovery Environment, save your data and settings, and install fresh copy of Windows 8. This feature will restore your personal files and Metro apps, but it won’t restore any reinstalled software, so keep that in mind. As for the reset option, it will go to Recovery Environment and it will delete your personal files, format your hard drive, and install a fresh copy of Windows 8.

These two features are going to make reinstall process of Windows 8 a lot simpler and easier, since both of them are automated, and we can’t wait to test these features in the final version of Windows 8.

Romo dock turns your smartphone into remotely controlled spybot

Smartphones are great because they have all these amazing features and things that they can do, and speaking of smartphone features, did you know that you can turn your smartphone into a spybot?

Romotive’s Romo is basically a smartphone dock with treaded chassis that adds mobility to the dock itself, allowing you to remotely control it with a smartphone. In order to use Romo, you’ll need to connect your smartphone with Romo via audio jack, and use another smartphone to control it and to receive both live audio and video from Romo. As for the list of compatible smartphones, Romo is currently compatible with iPhone, but we expect to see it compatible with all smartphone devices on the market.

Romotive Romo looks interesting, and although it’s not the stealthiest robot on the market, it’s definitely the only one that uses a smartphone for spying purposes. As for the release date and price, no accurate information is available at the moment.

USB Pregnancy Test

We live in a techie world where ovulation, pregnancy, even baby’s diaper changes can be charted via a multitude of apps. So it’s about time someone developed a pregnancy test that not only tells you whether you’re about to put on 40 lbs. in the name of creation, but also gives you lots of other sophisticated, computer-driven data about your baby-to-be.
The cleverly named p-Teq USB Pregnancy Test Kit requires users to pee on a stick, just like all the other home pregnancy tests on the market. But that’s where the similarity ends. Uncap the other end of the wand to expose a USB connector to insert into your computer.
